While I hate to admit it, every dog I've EVER had (4 total) have eaten their own - as we say in the wintertime in Michigan - Poopsicles. Yes, it's disgusting, but unfortunately it is "normal".
That being said - our vet said that you can buy stuff that you can put in the dogs food that makes their poop, imagine this, "taste bad".
Anyhoo - never you worry Noah, you're dogs aren't crazy.
OK, I haven't tried this yet, but I heard from a lady at the dog park where I take my own pooch that if you sprinkle MEAT TENDERIZER on the food before it goes IN, the chemicals make the poop taste bad when it comes OUT... whatever... I'm planning on buying some when I next go to the grocery store.
Noah, my dog used to eat her own shit on a pretty regular basis. I did some research on the internet to find a way to rid her of the habit, cuz you can imagine that her breath smelled like ta na na. I put Tobasco Sauce on her shit before she ate it. Needless to say, she didn't come back for seconds...
